The pony headboard is a riff on a pony wall — a short or half wall originally added to stables for ponies. As with many things, the look is inspired by the spacious layouts of luxury stays, from Soho Home to the Pig, and is part of a larger trend for “hotelisation” — where homeowners are replicating the features of their favourite hotels from the comfort of home.
