Hawaiian Airlines was founded 95 years ago as Inter-Island Airways, connecting passengers from one island to another. Today, it is the oldest and largest airline in the state of Hawai’i and is headquartered in Honolulu, the capital of the state. Over several decades, Hawaiian expanded from inter-island flights to flying to the US mainland, and eventually long-haul flights to the US, Asia, and the South Pacific.

Through its network, it made Hawai’i a critical point connecting the state to the rest of the world. The airline is known for its top-quality service and is consistently ranked as one of the best airlines in the US. As part of its fleet renewal and expansion, Hawaiian recently introduced the Boeing 787 to its fleet.
