Saturday provided one of the most shocking upsets in college football history when No. 1 Alabama was knocked off by unranked Vanderbilt in stunning fashion. From the beginning, Vanderbilt controlled the game both offensively and defensively.

Experts knew the trouble of what the triple option could bring, and Vanderbilt left Alabama's defense staggered and unable to stop the run. On their opening drive, Vanderbilt hit the scoreboard quickly and opened up a 7-0 lead against the Tide, but they weren't done just yet. On the following Alabama possession, Jalen Milroe would throw his second interception of the season, which would be returned for a 29-yard touchdown return.
