Monday, January 20, 2025 Due to hazardous road conditions expected throughout Houston, all flight operations at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), William P. Hobby Airport (HOU), and Ellington Airport (EFD) will be temporarily halted starting at 12 A.M.

on Tuesday, January 21. The suspension comes as a precautionary measure, prioritizing the safety of passengers and staff amid the forecasted winter storm. Travelers are advised not to attempt going to any of the airports after this time, as there will be no departing or arriving flights.



Despite the disruption, the airport teams remain committed to ensuring the safety of the facility and operations. Dedicated staff will remain on-site around the clock, working tirelessly to prepare for a swift recovery and the resumption of flights once conditions improve. Houston Airports have already mobilized snowplows and heavy machinery to clear the airfields and ensure that when the weather permits, the airports can return to full operation as quickly as possible.
