IF you fear the dreaded 7am sunlounger dash, there is a hotel in Europe that has a clever method so you never have to. St George Beach Hotel & Spa Resort in Cyprus ' Paphos has introduced a new rule that means every single guest is given their own sunbed on arrival. The resort's Sun Loungers Allocation System means every guest is given a particular sunbed when they check in.

This means guests won't have to do the mad dash , as they will have a designated spot. Don't like the one you've been given? You can request a change with the pool crew. The website states: "At St.

"Upon check-in, our guests are promptly allocated a sunbed by our attentive pool attendants, taking into consideration the current availability and creating a hassle-free start to your leisure-filled stay.

"Recognizing that preferences may change, we offer the flexibility for guests to adjust their sunbed allocation." Previous guests have raved about the rule too. Most read in Travel One person wrote: "Having the sun loungers allocated is the best idea yet.

" Even if you aren't a sunbed hogger, there is lots to do at the hotel besides the pool. It's an adults-only hotel so you won't spot any kids or teens at the resort. There are 260 rooms onsite, ranging from basic double/twins to suites with a sea view.

Or head to the on-site spa with treatments and hydrotherapy pool. Sunlounger hogging has become a huge problem with resorts in Europe, especially with both Brit and German tourists. The desperation for a 'good' lounger has resulted in holidaymakers making the mad dash as early as 7am.

Some have said they've seen loungers reserved as early as 1am. A tourist recently revealed his bizarre way to hog a sunlounger - by dropping a towel from his balcony onto the sunbed. Darryl, 46, returned to his hotel at6am after a night out - and realised there were sun loungers right below his room which he could drop his towel onto.

He said: "I had a practice run first and the first towel landed pretty good." And etiquette experts have revealed their verdict on sunlounger hogging rules.
