Sunday, October 6, 2024 The Hotel Association of India partners with top hotel groups to mentor hospitality institutes, bridging the gap between industry needs and academic training. The Hotel Association of India (HAI), the primary organization representing the Indian hospitality industry, has made a significant stride toward fostering stronger ties between industry and academia. In a landmark initiative, HAI has partnered with nine leading hotel groups to mentor institutes of hotel management across India.
This collaborative effort was unveiled during the World Tourism Day 2024 celebration, an event graced by the presence of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. The initiative is poised to reshape how hotel management education is delivered in the country. Out of the nine hotel groups participating in this initiative, eight are distinguished members of HAI.
These groups include some of the biggest names in the hospitality sector, such as The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels, The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group, ITC Hotels, Lemon Tree Hotels, Radisson Hotel Group, and Marriott International. The involvement of these industry leaders adds significant weight to the initiative, showcasing their commitment to nurturing future talent for the hospitality sector. At the heart of this initiative is the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the hotel groups and the Ministry of Tourism’s national council.
