Tuesday, January 21, 2025 Hong Kong, Taipei, Seoul, Okinawa, Nagoya, Narita, and Haneda feature prominently in Japan Airlines’ 2025 expansion, offering seamless travel with enhanced routes. Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced a robust expansion of its international network alongside significant fleet advancements as part of its fiscal year 2025 summer schedule. The plans include the introduction of new routes, increased flight frequencies, and the deployment of next-generation aircraft.

JAL is set to launch a strategic Tokyo Narita (NRT)-Chicago (ORD) route starting May 31, 2025. This addition strengthens the airline’s North American presence and enhances connectivity between Southeast Asia, India, and North America. Operated under a codeshare agreement with American Airlines, flights are scheduled to arrive in Chicago at 15:45 and depart at 12:10, with these timings effective from September 1 to October 25, 2025.



Japan Transocean Air, a subsidiary of JAL, will make its international debut by launching a Naha-Taipei service. This route is designed to cater to the growing demand for inbound tourism, with launch dates expected to be revealed later in fiscal year 2025. To meet surging demand, JAL will also enhance frequencies on several key routes: The Airbus A350-1000 will debut on the Haneda-Paris route starting May 1, 2025, operating on alternate days initially.
