Alongside her skillful team of designers, Cheong paid homage to two themes: “feng shui” and “astrology.

” The collection encompasses an array of motifs that allude to both themes while simultaneously continuing the essence of the brand’s haute couture workshop, where thousands of ideas are encapsulated into a collection that signifies elegance and nobility. Farradèche, with a backdrop of cascading tennis balls — an art installation designed by IMG Focus.

The installation epitomizes the the nine stars of the Big Dipper, highlighting feng shui elements that are prevalent in East Asian countries including Malaysian, Singaporean, Chinese, Thai, and Indonesian mythology. Photo: Courtesy of Homolog The Big Dipper is assigned responsibility for the movement of the earth, heaven, the four seasons, the distribution of the five elements, and also the fate of the world in the mythology. Interestingly, each of the nine stars has different names, represents different colors, and is associated with varying qualities and talents.

In line with these beliefs, each piece in the collection includes such elements paired with meticulous craftsmanship and Homolog’s unique aesthetic and storytelling. Some of the eclectic pieces include the black sheer dress with a cascading coat that features pleats and ruffles all over. Photo: Courtesy of Homolog Highlights include a spherical cage structure in gold paired with stars embodying the theme and a two-piece purple ensemble that features an interesting top that has a subtle floral print without lines of white flowers peeking through.

The look is complemented with a pleated maxi skirt that has embroidered organs, like eyes and hearts embellished with pearls, sequins, and colorful thread. The organ motif is continued onto the white dress that includes a sequined top embroidered with a pair of lungs with several pearls and beads. In all pieces, hints of the celestial and other-worldly beauty take center stage.

The all-encompassing experience of the show positions the brand as a symbol of artistry and craftsmanship for a niche audience.
