fans are starting to get stressed about which character is likely to be killed off on the long-running soap, with the show teasing a 'shocking death' that will leave fans reeling. While it's been badly hidden news for some time that , who plays Felicity Newman, is leaving the show, fans are starting to freak out about what this means for the fate of Felicity, who has really probably suffered enough at the hands of the writers over the years. Jacqui has been playing Felicity since 2021, and Felicity's time in the not-so-sleepy beachside town has been nothing short of dramatic.
She arrived after her brother Cash moved to Summer Bay to work as a policeman, and went from an erratic party girl to a loveable character and part-owner of Salt, while also suffering through a near-death car crash on her wedding day, followed by her subsequent marriage breakdown to Tane Parata, and a myriad of other dramas including an assault, and a new romance with a now-jailed River Boy. Jacqui's last scenes are likely to air end of August or early September and fans have been speculating about how she'll be written out, first assuming that perhaps she'd move away with River Boy Rory. But as played on the soap last week, now people are convinced Felicity will be killed off, despite the fact the show is teasing what looks like a bit of a nasty accident for Irene.
Felicity has been a somewhat divisive character over the years, but fans are already mourning her, despite the fact we don't know for sure what's going to go down yet. On a fan page, a moderator started the discussion of who's likely to be killed off. "This isn’t 'CONFIRMED' we know that Jacqui (Felicity) did stop filming in March and she should be still on our screens to end of August/September," they wrote.
"I know Jacqui said she would love Felicity to be killed off but we know that they always don’t get what they want." "I will be really sad if they kill Felicity off," one person commented. "Hopefully it’s not Flick," another agreed.
