Media Release Beltangady, Nov 16: Holy Redeemer English Medium School students celebrated Children's Day with specially abled children of Daya Special School in Beltangady on November 14. High school students spent quality time with the specially abled children and made the day meaningful. Fr Vinod D'Souza, director of Daya Special School welcomed everyone and introduced about Daya School and its functioning.
Specially disabled talented children sang a beautiful prayer song. Programme was inaugurated by lightning the lamp. Members on dais paid floral tribute to the portrait of Chacha Nehru.
The joy of the celebration was doubled by cutting the cake. Students performed dances and singing to entertain the children. Headmaster Fr Clifford Pinto addressed the students to be thankful to God for all the gifts of talents, abilities and facilities they have.
Students interacted with the specially abled children with love and concern. Students expressed their thoughts on understanding and realizing the abilities and blessings they possess. Teacher Pallavi and Merin compered the event.
As a token of love, Holy Redeemer students collected grocery, sanitary and stationery items and handed over to the Daya Special School children, making the day momentous..
