Rufus Sewell is a married man after tying the knot with Vivian Benitez, who is 29 years his junior. The besotted couple didn’t waste any time making it official, as it was just seven months ago that they announced their engagement . For their nuptials, they chose Manorbier Castle in West Wales , and happily posed together on the grounds after saying ‘I do’.

In one romantic moment, the couple gazed into each other’s eyes, before she tenderly placed a hand on his cheek. They later held hands while walking through the stunning grounds, in a scene that wouldn’t look out of place in a rom-com. For the special occasion, Rufus, 56, chose to wear a cream suit, contrasted with a black tie and shoes, while Vivian, 27, looked beautiful in a white off-the-shoulder gown which featured a corset and tulle sleeves.

Hiring out the entire castle for their wedding, they exchanged vows in front of family members and friends, who Rufus was pictured greeting at the entrance. Rufus paid homage to his Welsh roots by picking the late 11th-century building, just five miles from Tenby, as the venue. The historic building is perched upon cliffs and overlooks Manorbier Beach, making it an ideal choice for a picturesque day.

Their guests enjoyed festivities in a fancy giant tee-pee, which was placed in the middle of a large part of the greenery. Luckily, the sun came out and so the parts of the day geared towards the outdoors were able to go off without a hitch. It is believed the ceremony took place earlier this month with Manorbier Castle’s Facebook page posting on July 13 to say they wouldn’t be open to the public ‘whilst a beautiful wedding takes place’.

This is Rufus’ third marriage – he was previously married to entrepreneur Yasmin Abdallah from 1999 to 2000, and he wed director and producer Amy Gardner in 2004, but their divorced two years later. They share 22-year-old son William Douglas Sewell. Rufus also has 10-year-old daughter Lola with his ex-partner Ami Komai, who he revealed ‘didn’t bat an eyelid’ after a recent transformation .

In December, Rufus and Vivian headed to Rome for a break, and it was there that he seemingly popped the question. ‘Till death (or him continuing to walk on bathmats with his outside shoes) do us part,’ she joked while sharing a first glimpse of a huge sparkler on her left finger. Another of the images showed Rufus planting a kiss on her cheek.

The following day, the American actress also made light of their 29-year age gap with another post on Instagram, which read: ‘Please pass on to anyone worried about our age difference, that it’s ok now- I turned 27 this morning.’ Their sweet engagement was bittersweet as just days before Vivian shared that her dad was tragically diagnosed with a brain tumour. He sadly passed away on July 12, with Vivian honestly writing about the pain she experienced from the loss.

‘To everyone who loved him, and prayed for him: my father took his last breath yesterday. Nothing poetic about it. His fight was cruel and without mercy.

I can’t understand why, and I never will,’ she said.
