A stunned holidaymaker claims he was “ripped off” after being charged £25 for two lemon sorbets. Bailey Turvey, from Brighton , travelled to the Amalfi Coast in Italy on a four-day work trip in July and took a boat trip to Positano. With the region being famous for its lemons, the 24-year-old decided to try some sorbet.
Bailey bought two of the desserts, with one scoop served inside an eight-inch tall hollowed-out lemon, for himself and his 23-year-old friend Oliver Bashford-Squires. ” People took to the comments section and balked at the price, with one claiming he had snapped up a “tourist trap special”. “I was expecting it to be expensive but I wasn't expecting that amount of money. "Positano is known for its lemons, we wanted to give it a go. We saw everyone walking down the streets and heard about how the lemons were from the region.
