14 at Shaganappi Point. Grant completed that 88-yard downhiller with one knock of a nine-iron. Dr.

Jagdeep Johal jarred an ace on No. 15 at Redwood Meadows — a wicked wedge that covered the water and dropped into the cup 127 yards away. Trouble is, Johal only halved this hole in his match.

His playing partner notched a birdie, with a stroke, for a net score of ‘1.’ Hussain Akbar skipped the putting portion on No. 8 at Shaganappi Point, sinking a sweet seven-iron from 154 yards out.

Cheryl Laird was one-and-done on the scenic sixth hole on the Mount Lorette Course at Kananaskis Country. Laird’s special shot was a nifty nine-iron that travelled 99 yards. James Shand and Nolan Matthias can swap stories after both aced No.

17 on the Mount Lorette layout in K-Country. Shand was spot-on with a nine-iron from 152 yards away, while Matthias came up clutch with an eight-iron from 162, helping to seal a very tight team match among four buddies. Gerry Olynyk returned from an annual golf getaway to B.

C.’s Columbia Valley with a ‘1’ scribbled on a scorecard and a story to share. Olynyk drained his tee-ball on No.

7 on the Point Course at Copper Point. Five-iron was the right call for a 160-yard challenge. Jordan Barry buried a beauty on the third hole on Highwood’s Heritage Nine, finding the flag-stick with a fantastic five-iron from the 163-yard blocks.

Amanda Young was one-and-done on the seventh at Lakeview, finishing her business with one blast of a driver from 116 yards away. Cal Brackman breezed through the fourth hole at Carnmoney. Brackman swished a sand wedge from a distance of 108 yards.

Gary Billingsley was perfect with a pitching wedge on the second test at Fox Hollow, which spans 130 yards. Also at Fox Hollow, Jun Salting made short work of No. 13 thanks to an accurate eight-iron from 134 yards away.

Louise Ast will be saying only good things about her eight-iron, her weapon of choice for an 83-yard memory-maker on No. 4 at Lakeview. Rob Perry was the toast of the clubhouse at Bearspaw after he breezed through No.

15, showing off incredible aim with a six-iron from 160 yards back. Lynanne Bourque was flawless with a five-hybrid on No. 13 at Maple Ridge, which measures 127 yards.
