Doha, Qatar: Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has invited patients, their families and the community to join in its innovative Person-Centered Care (PCC) Roadshow, an initiative designed to engage patients, families, staff, and the wider community in the principles of person-centered care. The PCC Roadshow is a part of HMC’s ongoing commitment to transforming into a person-centered organization. This initiative aims to showcase the successful PCC best practices implemented across the organization, raise awareness about the importance of person-centered care, and build a stronger sense of community within the healthcare system.

The roadshow is scheduled to take place across HMC from August to December 2024, hosted by nine HMC facilities that are undergoing PCC certification and recertification processes: Ambulatory Care Center (ACC) – August 4 to 6, 2024 Women’s Wellness and Research Center (WWRC) – September 8 to 9, 2024 Home Healthcare Services (HHCS) – September 15 to 16, 2024 Private Nursing Services (PNS) – September 15 to 16, 2024 Heart Hospital – September 29 to October 1, 2024 Al Wakra Hospital (AWH), the Communicable Disease Center (CDC), Enaya Specialized Care Center and Hamad General Hospital Emergency Department (HGH ED) will also be participating. Nasser Al Naimi, Chief of Patient Experience at HMC and Director of the Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute, said the theme of the roadshow was - PCC: Our Journey, Our Care, Our Community. “This theme captures the experiential, branding, and community-building objectives of the event.



It highlights HMC’s collective journey towards person-centered care, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing personalized care in enhancing patient experiences and outcomes,” he said. “Key leaders from HMC and partner organizations will take part in the event and their presence highlights the collaborative and high level efforts and shared vision for a person-centered healthcare system.” Al Naimi invited members of the community to take part in the series of events which will showcase the important work being done by HMC in its journey towards person centered care.
