Hina Khan has been full of positivity and optimism on social media. She is bravely documenting her journey as she battles stage 3 breast cancer. Hina Khan has been keeping an optimistic front ever since she shared the news of her cancer diagnosis with her fans and followers on social media, following weeks of speculation.

In June this year, the actor took to Instagram to share an official statement, writing that she has been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. "I have been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer. Despite this challenging diagnosis, I want to reassure everyone that I am doing well.

I am strong, determined, and fully committed to overcoming this disease. My treatment has already begun, and I am ready to do everything necessary to emerge from this even stronger," her statement read. Ever since then, Khan has only documented her journey -- talking about her treatment, highlighting the pain, the setback, and finding the strength within her to normalise this disease and raise awareness about it.

She even dropped a video in which she chopped off all her hair, followed by another one, wherein she decided to shave off her head and go bald while undergoing chemotherapy sessions that usually make the patient lose all their hair eventually. "It's just hair..

.it will grow back," she had said, urging women to get over the superficial aspects of beauty, and focus more on their holistic well-being, their mental health and happiness, as they navigate this disease. Now, the former Bigg Boss contestant dropped another motivating and positive video, in which she stated that despite being in an industry that requires one to look their best by taking care of their hair , skin and body, she made a difficult choice the moment she learned of her cancer diagnosis: that she would let go of all her hair on her own terms, and even make a wig out of it.

"The moment I was diagnosed, I knew I'd lose my hair, I chose to cut it off on my own terms while it was still healthy, long and vibrant. I decided to make a wig of my own hair that would bring me comfort during this challenging time," the 36-year-old candidly confessed. She added that this was an "empowering decision" and that she is proud of herself.

Sharing a message for other women who are battling cancer , Khan stated: "...

a special message to all my women bravehearts out there who are going through similar struggles -- if you resonate with my decision and agree with it, I suggest you do the same." var firstScrolled3 = false; window.addEventListener("scroll",(event) => { if(!firstScrolled3) {window.

_taboola = window._taboola || []; _taboola.push({ mode: "thumbnails-m", container: "taboola-mid-article-thumbnails", placement: "Mid Article Thumbnails", target_type: "mix" }); firstScrolled3 = true; } }); "It will make at least one thing much easier and you will feel better.

..you will feel home," said the ' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai ' star.

Khan added that wearing the wig brings her much relief. "It feels like somehow I am reunited with my lost hair when I wear it. It feels good, it feels cosy and it feels like home.

It's just a phase I knew I will have to go through, and decided preemptively to normalise it first for myself. Now that I have been using it, I thought it would be a good story to share with all of you." Thanking all her followers, the actor said that it has been "heartwarming, reassuring and encouraging" to see the responses she receives for her posts on social media.

"...

wherever I go, whenever I step out, my God, so much love and concern is directed towards me. It is so overwhelming to see a stranger's eyes [well-up] in concern when they wish me a speedy recovery. I am just blown away with the positivity you guys send me.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart," she ended her post. In the accompanying video, a smiling Khan posed with the wig that is attached to a cap..
