Saturday, August 17, 2024 Himachal Pradesh is set to showcase its rich cultural heritage through Dehra Utsav, a grand festival designed to boost tourism and attract visitors to the region. Himachal Pradesh is set to host a grand festival aimed at showcasing the state’s rich cultural heritage. Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu announced that the ‘Dehra Utsav’ would be celebrated by the end of 2024.

This festival is designed to highlight the unique traditions of the region, with the goal of attracting more tourists to experience the local culture. During his visit to the Dehra Assembly Constituency on August 16, Chief Minister Sukhu evaluated potential sites for new government offices and other development projects. He directed the district administration to identify suitable land for constructing a new office for the Superintendent of Police, as well as other essential facilities in Dehra, according to a statement from the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister’s Office.



In addition to site evaluations, Sukhu conducted a review of the progress on several ongoing construction projects in the area. These include a fire station, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office, a hospital, a sericulture office, and Government Senior Secondary Schools in Dehra. His visit was part of a broader initiative to ensure that these projects are advancing as planned.

Chief Minister Sukhu also took the opportunity to engage with students at local schools during his visit. He encouraged teachers to keep students informed about current state developments and events, emphasizing the importance of educating the youth on matters that impact their community..
