Wednesday, October 16, 2024 Hilton has announced its latest expansion into Egypt with the planned opening of the Hilton Garden Inn Borg El Arab Beach, located on Egypt’s Mediterranean coast. The hotel, set to open in 2028, will be developed in partnership with Tharaa Misr for Real Estate Development. This new addition is part of Hilton’s broader strategy to increase its presence in Egypt, a country seen as offering significant development potential.
The Hilton Garden Inn Borg El Arab Beach will be situated in the Borg El Arab area, which is part of Egypt’s North Coast, a region that is growing in popularity due to its pristine beaches and increasing investments in tourism infrastructure. Hilton’s decision to open a new hotel in this location aligns with the company’s plan to expand its portfolio across Egypt, which is one of the most sought-after destinations for international travelers. Carlos Khneisser, Hilton’s Vice President of Development for the Middle East and Africa, highlighted Egypt’s potential as a key market for Hilton’s expansion efforts.
He emphasized that Hilton is on track to more than double its presence in the country in the coming years, thanks to partnerships with local developers like Tharaa Misr. Khneisser described the Hilton Garden Inn Borg El Arab Beach as a prime example of Hilton’s ongoing collaboration with its valued partners to diversify its footprint across different regions. The new hotel will feature 135 guest rooms and suite.
