Wednesday, October 16, 2024 Hilton has extended its partnership with Be My Eyes, a popular app designed to assist individuals who are blind or have low vision. This collaboration is part of Hilton’s ongoing efforts to provide more inclusive and accessible services for its guests across the United States and Canada. Initially launched in 2023, the partnership focused on training the “Be My AI” feature, which is powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4 language model, to help visually impaired users navigate hotel room layouts and recognize objects more effectively.
Frank Passanante shared a post on LinkedIn celebrating Hilton’s partnership with Be My Eyes. In his statement, he said: “Today marks the launch of Hilton’s groundbreaking partnership with Be My Eyes, an industry-first initiative that enhances accessibility for guests who are blind or have low vision. Through innovative tools and agent-assisted experiences, we’re making travel more seamless and inclusive.
We are proud to be part of this and for the partnership with our Hilton Reservations and Customer Care teams who will bring it to life.” As part of the latest development, Hilton has broadened the scope of this partnership, introducing AI-powered support combined with real-time assistance from Hilton’s Reservations and Customer Care agents. This new initiative enables visually impaired guests to access immediate help through the Be My Eyes app during their stay at any participating Hilton property.
