WATERLOO – Nick Hemann tried to fight against picking at the negatives and just lifting up the positives. Moments after Hemann’s Osage girls’ wrestling team took second overall in the 24-team National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum Battle of Waterloo Dual Team tournament, Hemann pointed out things the Green Devils can be better at while praising his team which has established itself as the team to beat in Class 1A. I just think we weren’t great. “I shouldn’t complain too much, but I feel we have more in the tank, but we let the day get to us and that is kind of something we need to correct. We got second today, the best finish we’ve ever had so that is a positive.

” The Green Devils won Bracket B in dramatic fashion to advance to the championship pool. Osage trailed 36-3 to Decorah before storming back to win 43-36. Adyen Keefe pinned Bristol Parker in 2:49 and Annaliese Arciniega received a forfeit to complete the come-from-behind victory.
