Thursday, November 7, 2024 Heydar Aliyev International Airport is gearing up for the COP29 international conference by implementing a series of temporary changes to ensure a smooth, secure, and comfortable experience for all travelers. With these adjustments, passengers are encouraged to plan their journeys in advance to avoid any disruptions. From November 10 to 14, access to Terminals 1 and 2 will be limited strictly to passengers with a valid airline ticket.

To prevent overcrowding, those accompanying passengers are kindly requested to refrain from visiting the airport during this period. The airport’s front parking area will be designated exclusively for special-purpose vehicles. General parking on the premises will be unavailable from November 10 to 14, though drop-offs will still be permitted.

Travelers utilizing long-term parking prior to November 10 should be aware of these restrictions, as vehicles left during the specified period may be removed. Drivers heading from the city center are advised to follow the route: Nizami Street → Yusif Safarov Street → Izzet Orucov Street → Fazail Bayramov Street → 8 November Avenue → Zigh Road. Those arriving from Bilgah or the Mashtaga settlement should travel through Mardakan and Shuvalan to reach Zigh Road.

For added convenience, travel along these routes will be free of charge during the conference period. Additionally, express buses H1 and H2 will be in service for airport transit throughout COP29, running from Nov.
