With the upcoming Intercontinental Championship at WWE SummerSlam and the voracious hunger to challenge the reigning Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn, this week's episode of “WWE RAW” witnessed the battle between Bron Breakker and Ilja Dragunov . The winner gets the opportunity to challenge Sami Zayn at the WWE SummerSlam. While it was a lucky day for Breakker fans to have successfully slammed his opponent, Dragunov, Zayn could not help praising the defeated opponent.

In an exclusive interview with Wrestling Inc . Sami Zayn opens up about his views on “The Mad Dragon” “I think [Dragunov] is really good, “ Zayn stated, while adding more he said, “ He has something that not a lot of people have, which is an innate understanding of the struggle that makes Wrestling a beautiful thing. When he's in there, it looks like he's fighting for his life.

There's a lot of great guys, a lot of great performers in WWE, but very few have that quality where you just really believe that this guy is deep in the trenches and it's taking everything in him just to keep his head above water. I think that's a greater quality to have in a wrestler, and he's got it. It don't see it very often, and he's definitely got it.

” (Credit: Wrestling Inc) Zayn's comment struck a chord with the million WWE fans that night. This showed the legend's sportsmanship and the positive spirit of this otherwise ruthless sport. While like any other sport, WWE calls for similar discipline, grit and penance.

Something which the defeated opponent for the night courageously displayed and the legendary champion did not fail to notice and acknowledge. Former WWE NXT champion, Ilja Dragunov, had initially made his mark on the European Independent circuit before he joined WWE. Well-known in the Wrestling arena for his signature moves that captivate his fans and gives his opponents a tough battle, Dragunov is a master of the Grübe aus Moscow (Lariat) and the very impactful T-bone Suplex.

His agility punched with the unforeseeable Step- Up Enzuigiri and ‘Suicide Dive’ makes him a tough opponent to defeat. However, the winner of this week's “WWE RAW”, a former American football player turned WWE professional wrestler, Bron Breakker, refused to call it quits by Dragunov. His “powerhouse” style and his finishing move of his signature “camel clutch” won him the laurels for the night and earned him the rightful challenge to fight the reigning Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn for the title.

May the best man rule at the upcoming WWE SummerSlam on August 4, 2024..
