put himself in extreme danger whilst in Ibiza after hitting the bottom of a swimming pool with what was assumed to be a dive gone wrong. Whilst there is ample opportunity to watch proper diving right now with the in full swing, Efron might refrain from diving into shallow water for a while now. The 36-year-old actor was hospitalized on August 2 after he went for an early-morning swim with friends at the villa he was staying in on the Spanish island.

It was initially just described as a 'swimming incident' but TMZ has now reported that Efron hit the bottom of the pool and 'ingested a large amount of water into his lungs'. Efron helped from the pool He was helped from the pool by two people working at the compound and was clearly in some distress, and he was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure. The subsequent x-ray showed that there was no longer water in his lungs which can be a very dangerous situation.



He was actually told he could leave the hospital after a couple of hours there, but he stayed longer because a pack of paparazzi had gathered outside and he wanted to avoid them. Efron recently shared an image of himself lifting weights whilst on an exercise ball whilst still in Ibiza and he confirmed he is on the mend and feeling fine. "Happy and healthy," he wrote over the snap.

"Thanks for the well wishes." Efron enjoyed the rest of his time in Ibiza before he then flew back to the on August 5, putting his health scare behind him..
