The festivities began on Monday (August 26), with devotees allowed to enter the temple from 4:30 am until midnight.



The event is expected to attract over 5 lakh visitors, including people from countries like the USA, France, Germany, and Malaysia. As per the traffic police, there will be restrictions on vehicles on Maharaja Agrasen Marg, from the NTPC underpass to Gijhore Chowk. Commuters traveling from Gijhore to Sector 18 and Atta Market are advised to use a detour via Hoshiarpur village to reach City Centre, avoiding the restricted area. While the Noida Elevated Road will remain open, the loops near the temple will be closed for safety reasons.

Event to be broadcast live on temple’s social media channels The ISKCON temple management announced that all main events will be broadcast live on its social media platforms such as Facebook and YouTube channel. The organisers advised senior citizens and pregnant women to participate online rather than attending the event in person. The celebrations will be graced by Noida MP Mahesh Sharma, MLA Pankaj Singh, and Vimla Batham, chairperson of Uttar Pradesh Women’s Commission.

Many women devotees also volunteered to help the temple staff with Janmashtami preparations, including making flower garlands and dishes for Lord Krishna. “Flowers have been brought from Vrindavan, and beautiful dresses are being prepared for the lord. The entire temple is decorated with colorful lights and flowers,” said Arun Saini, spokesperson for Iskcon Noida.

The anointment ceremony of Lord Krishna will involve a traditional ‘panchgavya,’ a mixture of milk, curd, honey, ghee, and fruit juices. Devotees can view the ‘newborn’ Krishna from 4:30 am to midnight..
