If you were traveling along Morris Boulevard Monday night, the little goblins were out in full force. It wasn’t Halloween, but Morristown’s Annual “BOOFest” attracted even the littlest goblin to Fred Miller Park. During the evening of trick or treating along the Fred Miller Park trail, there were many sponsors who helped to make the event a memorable one.
Parks and Recreation Program Coordinator called this year’s event a beautiful fall evening that (brought) more than 8,500 people to the park. “The trail was full of tricks and treats with 64 booths, which is our largest number so far and I am grateful for all the local businesses and school groups,” Gentry said. “Spooky Passes began at 4:30 p.
m. and we had a constant line until 7:30 p.m.
when registration closed so that we could get the children through.” Tommie’s Plumbing and HVAC won the “Spooktacular Award” for best overall booth, Colgate won the “BOOFest Award” for Best Theme and TCAC (Tennessee Community Assistance Corporation) won the “Trick or Treat Award” for the best treat.
