The 30th anniversary of the ceremony was held at the city’s Co-Op Live Arena on Sunday (November 10) and was broadcast on MTV UK, Channel 5 and Pluto TV, and can be streamed on Paramount+ from Tuesday (November 12). The show was hosted by Rita Ora for a record-breaking third time, while it also featured live performances from Benson Boone , RAYE , Shawn Mendes , Teddy Swims , The Warning, LE SSERAFIM , Peso Pluma , Tyla , Busta Rhymes and Pet Shop Boys .
The nominees were announced in October , and saw Taylor Swift lead the pack for the second year running , with a total of seven nods overall. Beyoncé , Kendrick Lamar , Lisa and Ayra Starr were next in line with four nominations apiece. In the end, Swift also wound up winning the most awards, picking up three: Best Artist, Best Video (for ‘Fortnight’) and Best Live.
