Helen Flanagan has opened up about her heart-breaking split from ex fiancé Scott Sinclair, admitting the real reason the pair went their separate ways. Helen, 34, and footballer Scott, who have three children together, parted ways in 2022 after 13 years. And in an emotional interview, the former Corrie actress admitted that while she still cares about her ex deeply they just don't "like" each other anymore.

She even said that the relationship between them is now so fraught that the Bristol Rovers star wouldn't even admit to caring about her. Speaking on Charlotte Dawson's Naughty Corner podcast, Helen said: "I still love him very much, I care about him deeply, but we don’t like each other. We don’t like each other at all, we don’t get on.

I do know that Scott - he’d never admit it - cares about me too and he does love me." Since the pair's split, Scott, 35, has moved on with model Louise Tarver. And reliving the moment she realised he had found love again, Helen admitted to Charlotte that she screamed down the phone at her ex after finding snaps of his new girl on her iPad.

She explained: "I saw who Scott was seeing on the iPad. We were split up for over a year and then I saw a very beautiful girl, glamorous and very very pretty girl. And I saw all the pictures and even though we were separated, and even though I had dated, I still rang him up and said, 'I f*****g hate you' on the train, and everyone must've thought this woman is a psycho.

" Earlier this year, Helen exclusively revealed to The Mirror how she suffered a breakdown after splitting from Scott, admitting she spiralled downwards into a "very scary" psychotic episode. She says her nightmare began after what looked like a dream New Year’s break in Bali with their children Matilda, eight, Delilah, five, and Charlie, three. Behind the stream of smiley photos she posted, Helen says she was in turmoil.

She said: “My kids weren’t with me on Christmas Day because I like to be really fair with my ex, and it sounds so silly because it was only one day, but it hit me really hard. The plan was for me to take them to Bali for New Year instead, and although I enjoyed it, I didn’t feel myself. I was struggling.

I felt terrible when I got back, I was crying all the time, I felt so low.” Speaking about the break up, she went on: "I don't see it as a break-up, I see it as a divorce. We were together 13 years.

But instead of processing it all I threw myself into work and shut off my emotions. I just went into survival mode. Then it came to the surface earlier this year and I was mentally and physically breaking down.

" Struggling to feel “normal”, she started medicating her ADHD but suffered an “awful reaction” to her prescription and went into a psychotic episode. Tearful Helen said: “It was really sad and very scary. I was seeing things and I felt like I was in danger all the time.

” The star, who has now healed and feels in a much better place, spoke to help dispel the stigma around mental health. And after beginning to date again, she has taken part in the upcoming series of E4's Celebs Go Dating. But her appearance is set to be a dramatic one after it emerged she almost got kicked off the show for breaking the rules.

Agent Anna Williamson told us: "Helen, I just love her. "What I will say about her though - and I don’t want to spoil anything - but Helen has the biggest cliff-hanger pivot of a storyline that we’ve ever had in Celebs Go Dating history. Helen nearly got thrown out of the agency two weeks ago.

She did something huge which goes against all the rules of the agency." Celebs Go Dating returns on 19 August. Follow Mirror Celebs on TikTok , Snapchat , Instagram , Twitter , Facebook , YouTube and Threads .
