Ardella Heckman went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, in St. Joseph, as the result of a stroke.

She was 86 years old. Ardella was a homemaker and a mother, and a graduate of Benton High School in 1955. She married Wilbert Heckman in 1963.



They later divorced. She had been a Dental Assistant for 11 years for Dr. I.

H. Droher. She was also employed by Kiddie Kollege and lately she was a caregiver for her parents, Gladys (Verbick) Deibert and George A.

Deibert, who preceded her in death. She was born Nov. 6, 1937, in St.

Joseph. Ardella was a former member of the Wyatt Park Assembly of God church. Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl Guy, of St.

Joseph; son, Douglas Heckman, of the home; and two grandchildren, Zach (Jessica) Guy and Samanthe Heckman; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, George L. Deibert and wife Connie, of Blue Springs, Missouri; nephew, Rob Deibert and wife Maria, of San Antonio, Texas, and their children, Allen and Olivia. We mourn not as those without hope for we believe that all things work together for good to those that love the Lord.
