: Hyderabad and Secunderabad witnessed light to moderate showers on Monday, accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds in the evening. The rains scattered across several areas including Miyapur, Nizampet, Lingampally, Tolichowki, Shaikpet, Mehdipatnam, Asifnagar, Kukatpally, Madhapur, Kondapur and Rajendranagar. Meanwhile, South Hyderabad saw heavy downpours, particularly towards Osmania University, Malakpet, Saroornagar, Amberpet, Uppal and LB Nagar.

The GHMC issued an advisory amid the rains and has advised the citizens to stay away from trees, electric poles and water bodies and to avoid using metal objects and electrical devices during lightning strikes. In cases of emergencies, citizens can call the city helpline at 040 21111111. In Malakpet, commuters were seen navigating through a flooded railway bridge amid the rain.



Light showers were also seen in Ameerpet, SR Nagar, Panjagutta, Madapur, Jubilee Hills, Sainik Puri, Gajularamaram, Alwal, Dilsukhnagar, Begum Bazar, Koti, Sultan Bazar, Abids, Basheerbagh and Himayatnagar. At the IOCL point in Secunderabad, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) officials and traffic police coordinated to monitor and manage rains, ensuring smooth traffic flow. Various officials were inspecting the waterlogging situation in different parts of the city.

Disaster Response Force (DRF) teams were in place to remove stagnated water and prevent waterlogging. Cops were seen clearing knee-deep water at the Chaitanyapuri bus stop. Th.
