World Heart Day was celebrated on Sunday, and awareness programs were organised at all hospitals in Pratapgarh. Special programs were conducted to educate patients and staff about the risks of heart disease. According to experts, heart disease is no longer limited to a specific age group, and it can affect anyone, regardless of their age.

Dr. Jeevraj Meena, Chief Medical and Health Officer, Pratapgarh, said that the number of heart patients has increased significantly, and it is no longer limited to people above 50-60 years of age. "Earlier, it was believed that heart disease occurs after the age of 50-60, but now it is being seen in people as young as 20-30 years old," he said.



Dr. Meena attributed the increase in heart disease cases to an unhealthy lifestyle, irregular diet, and lack of physical activity. He said that 40-60% of patients coming to hospitals are between 40-60 years old, and 50% of them are below 40 years old.

"This is a matter of concern," he added. They advised people to adopt a healthy lifestyle, including regular exercise, a balanced diet, and stress management.
