A bar is asking the public for help after one of its own suffered a devastating burglary. Owen Griffith, who has been described as the "heart and soul" of The Tempest Inn in Brighton , had his flat raided on June 25. The manager, who supports up-and-coming DJs in the city, has now lost all his equipment he uses for work.

Among the items stolen were three Apple MacBook Pros, three cameras, two pairs of headphones and a watch which belonged to Luke's late father. A spokesman for The Tempest Inn said on the fundraiser: "Owen, the heart and soul behind The Tempest Inn in Brighton, is a champion for local talent. "He tirelessly supports up-and-coming DJs and brands, ensuring everyone gets an equal opportunity to shine. "His dedication and generosity have made a significant impact on the Brighton music scene and beyond.
"It took Owen and his partner years to gather this equipment, which is crucial for their professional and creative endeavours. "Now, they need our help to get back on their feet. "As we're trying our very best to recover as much of the damage we can we are reaching out to you, our community, to help them replace their stolen equipment and continue their incredible work.

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "Police responded to a report of a burglary at an address in Sussex Square, Brighton, on June 25. "It is believed the break-in occurred between 2pm and 8pm. Forensics officers attended the address, and the investigation continues.
"Anyone with information is asked to report it to Sussex Police online, quoting serial 1265 of 25/06.".
