GALLIPOLIS, Ohio (WV News) — There was a large turnout for Healthy Kickstart on Saturday. Gallia County Health Department (GCHD), Gallia-Vinton Educational Services Center (ESC), and 21st Century Community Learning Centers were the event organizers of this back-to-school community health day. Tents on the grounds of the Gallia County Health Department featured an immunization clinic, area agencies with information and lots of free goodies and prizes.

Also nearby was a petting zoo. ESC Director David Moore said that over 600 were in attendance, with around 140 families registered. "It was an even larger turnout than last year," Moore said.

"The day was beautiful and it was great to see so many families come out to enjoy the activities.".
