Vivek Jaisimha, the former Indian first-class cricketer, has resigned as the head coach of the senior team at the Hyderabad Cricket Academy of Excellence (HCAE). In his resignation letter to the honorary secretary of the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA), Jaisimha cited "daily conflict, lack of infrastructural development, and poor leadership" as the primary reasons for his decision. Expressing his frustration, Jaisimha said did not have the time, energy and patience to deal with the "lack of professionalism and the egos of individuals who have no understanding or commitment to teamwork".
The negative atmosphere and mistrust among the faculty, according to him, were severely damaging the reputation of cricket in Hyderabad and leading to a significant decline in job satisfaction. In a separate email to the HCA secretary, Jaisimha raised several concerning issues and complaints in a point-by-point manner. He criticised the HCA's "illogical approach" and strongly objected to the interference in coaching activities and the deployment of coaching staff for the senior team, asserting that these responsibilities clearly fell within the purview of the head coach.
Jaisimha also highlighted an incident where the director allegedly threatened the trainer and physio, despite their tireless work with the women’s, junior, and senior teams. This, he noted, had demoralised the support staff and negatively impacted the team's performance. Jaisimha also compiled a lengthy list of grievance.
