However, as Hawaiian prioritizes restoring international routes, the Orlando service was discontinued in 2022, and now Austin flights face a similar fate. Currently operated with Airbus A330-200 aircraft three times a week, the Austin-Honolulu service will be scaled back to twice-weekly in January 2025 before its full cessation in March.
This move is part of a broader network realignment strategy tied to Hawaiian’s integration with Alaska Airlines. Expansion in Seattle and San Diego Adjustments As part of the network reshuffle, Hawaiian Airlines will launch a second daily flight between Honolulu (HNL) and Seattle (SEA) starting April 22, utilizing its Airbus A330 aircraft.
