NEW DELHI: The day is here! After months of intense campaigning, the 2024 Assembly election results for Haryana's 90 constituencies are being announced. The ruling BJP is confident about securing a third consecutive term, while the Congress , bolstered by exit polls and having been out of power for a decade, is hopeful of staging a comeback. A three-layered security system has been put in place at the counting centers before the counting of votes began at 8am.
The postal ballots were counted first, followed by electronic voting machine (EVM) votes. The Haryana Assembly elections were conducted in a single phase on October 5, after being postponed from the original date of October 1 by the Election Commission. Voter turnout for the 2024 15th Assembly elections stood at 67.
90%. Sirsa district saw the highest turnout with 75.36%, while Faridabad recorded the lowest at 56.
