The pair were among the 100-strong group that teed off for a charity golf day at The Grove Hotel in aid of Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care on Monday (October 21). Participants played 18 holes and took part in competitions on their way around the course before a lunch where they heard personal testimony from Ben Brocklesby, from headline sponsor Origin Global, about the care his grandmother and father received. Blissett, a patron of Rennie Grove Peace, invited fellow attendees Redknapp and former Spurs favourite Micky Hazard, and hosted an auction with prizes ranging from a luxury stay at The Grove to Premier League tickets.
Rennie Grove's corporate partnerships executive, Jackie Jackson, said: “It was great to see such an amazing turn out at our annual golf day from the local business community. “As a charity that receives only 14 per cent statutory funding, we cannot continue to run our services without the support of our community and this is one of the key events in our fundraising calendar.” The golf day raised more than £41,000 for vital hospice services for people across Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
