A Bolton housing group is helping a group of “hard working, dedicated and capable” youngsters start their careers in construction. They will be getting on-site experience as apprentices at a development in Cheshire thanks to a partnership between Farnworth based Seddon Housing Partnerships and Magenta Living. Callum Keith, Braden Laurie, Sam Parkin and Luke Turner were working on apprenticeships with Magenta Living, a not-for-profit housing provider when Seddon offered on-site opportunities.
Seddon contract manager Lewis Welsby said: “We are delighted to be able to help these hard-working, dedicated and very capable apprentices complete their course. “They will be based at our Three Sails Point developing in Widnes helping with a variety of tasks all in aid of them gaining experience that will not only enable them to finish their apprenticeship but also carry them through into paid work too. The apprentices have been getting on-site experiences (Image: Social) “At Seddon, we always want to go above and beyond to help the next generation interested in a career in housing, and through this and our other initiatives, such as being part of an apprentice exchange, we hope we’re going some way towards achieving that.
” The four apprentices will now have the chance to work on the 158 homes development in Widnes They will work on replacing skirting boards before turning their hands to property joists, roofs and stairs. Seddon, based on Plodder Lane, had already worked on.
