Thursday, August 22, 2024 Happy Valley, Pennsylvania, home to the prestigious Penn State University, recently launched the first in a three-part webinar series, positioning itself as a prime East Coast destination for Indian travelers. The inaugural session attracted over 100 travel agents from across India’s metropolitan areas, as well as tier II and III cities, highlighting the unique and diverse attractions of the region. Fritz Smith, President & CEO of Happy Valley Adventure Bureau (HVAB), emphasized the region’s distinctive blend of outdoor adventures, cultural experiences, and family-friendly activities.

He noted that Happy Valley offers something for everyone, from vibrant outdoor concerts and exhilarating E-biking trails to world-class golf courses. A standout feature is America’s only all-water cavern and wildlife park, an essential stop for visitors. The webinar series will continue with sessions in October and November 2024.

The second session will focus on the region’s outdoor activities and adventure opportunities, showcasing scenic hiking and biking trails, national parks, and seasonal events. The final session will highlight venues and options for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions), offering insights into Happy Valley’s advanced facilities and accommodations suitable for large gatherings and corporate events. Each webinar concludes with an interactive quiz, where participants can win retail voucher gift cards.

In the first session, three travel agents—Mr. Vinay Aithal of Sky Trips, Ms. Nancy Castelino of Forvol International Services Limited, and Mr.

Saket Chhatre of Red Carpet Travels—emerged as the top winners. A grand prize, which includes a stay in Happy Valley, will be awarded to one agent based on their cumulative quiz performance across all sessions. Feedback from participants in the first webinar was overwhelmingly positive, with many agents expressing a keen interest in adding Happy Valley to their itineraries for Indian travelers.

HVAB remains committed to providing valuable resources and insights, ensuring that Happy Valley becomes a favored destination for Indian tourists..
