Hannaford has issued a recall on fresh salads and pasta meals because of a possible listeria contamination. The company announced Wednesday that it was voluntarily removing the items “out of an abundance of caution” after it was notified by a manufacturer of the potential contamination. There have been no reports of illness, according to Hannaford.
The impacted items include the fiesta salad with chicken, Caesar salad with chicken and bacon, BLT salad with chicken, fettuccine alfredo with chicken and the fettuccine alfredo with chicken family meal. All products impacted by the recall have been removed from stores, according to Hannaford. The products were sold from Sept.
23 to Oct. 1 in the produce and deli departments. Hannaford said customers should not eat the products and are urged to check their freezers and refrigerators for them.
