A GLAMPING location near Romsey has scooped up a coveted regional award for its upmarket campsite. has ranked Gambledown Farm, north of Shootash, as runner up in the category of Best Glamping Site in the South East. The website, which provides a search engine for campsites, said: "We are super excited to announce the winners of the 2024 Camping and Glamping Awards.
These awards were created to highlight some of the best camping, glamping and touring sites the UK has to offer." Describing Gambledown, the judges said: "The luxury safari tents are ideal for groups and families, with fully furnished interiors and hotel-style ensuite bathrooms. You can even hire your own chicken coop for fresh eggs during your stay, with seasonal lamb feeding and a Scandinavian-style sauna too.
" The farm's site has gained a 4.96-star rating on its travel listing, with 100 per cent of users saying they would recommend the site.
