Around 100 Million Day Visitors Annually Each year, approximately 100 million day visitors contribute significantly to Hamburg’s tourism industry.
These tourists are vital for smaller businesses and areas outside the main tourist attractions. Day visitors generate a gross turnover of around EUR 4.1 billion, accounting for nearly half of all tourism-related consumer spending.
Of these visitors, about 88% come for leisure, while the remaining 12% are business travelers. Hamburg continues to draw visitors in the second half of 2024, thanks to a variety of events.
