Rapper DDG has announced his shock split from Halle Bailey just months after they became parents for the first time. The Little Mermaid actress, 24, and the rapper, whose real name is Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr. were together for nearly three years.

DDG, 26, issued a statement that read: "After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways. This decision was not easy, but we believe it's the best path forward for both of us. "I cherish the time we've spent together and the love we've shared.
Despite the change in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true." Halle is yet to address the split, and instead took to her own social media account to share photos with her younger brother to mark his birthday. In January this year, Halle introduced the world to their little boy as she shared a photo holding onto baby Halo's hand.
The name was unveiled with the gold bracelet the tot wore on his wrist, with the word 'Halo' engraved on it. Halle penned: "Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son..
