The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will continue to bring rains over some areas in Luzon and Visayas for the next 24 hours, state weather bureau PAGASA said Sunday. Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms may persist in the Ilocos Region, Benguet, Zambales, and Bataan due to Habagat. Residents in the affected were warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, Western Visayas, and Negros Island Region may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms still due to Habagat. The severe thunderstorms may cause flash floods or landslides, PAGASA said. Meanwhile, the rest of the country may see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA said possible flash floods or landslides may occur due to severe thunderstorms. State meteorologists also said the wind and coastal water conditions throughout the country will be light to moderate. Sunrise will be at 5:42 a.
