Many fans noted that the two songs sounded remarkably alike, leading to a surge of accusations online.
Since Baek Yerin was both the writer and composer of 0310, many believed her original work had been copied. In response, Baek Yerin took to Instagram to voice her frustration, stating, “It must suck for you to copy. Feel bad.
If you want a song like mine, please ask me so.” Along with her post, she also shared several Instagram Stories from fans, which included comments like “Why do I hear ‘0310’?” and “Is it okay to release a remake (LOL) just as you wish without the original artist knowing,” reports Soompi. This only intensified the conversation around the issue.
In response to the growing controversy, Ha Sung-woon’s agency, Big Planet Made Entertainment, released an official statement to clarify his involvement with the song. The agency’s statement reads, “Hello, this is Big Planet Made Entertainment. In response to the plagiarism claims raised by Baek Yerin on SNS today (October 4) regarding the OST ‘What Are We’ for the drama ‘Love Next Door,’ sung by Ha Sung-woon, we want to make it clear that Ha Sung-woon was not involved in the alleged plagiarism.
