A fear of the gym, or "gymtimidation," as it's sometimes called, is a feeling of anxiety and stress experienced when a person thinks about, or steps foot into, a gym. And it can happen to everyone: people who are new to working out or returning from a break , as well as regular gym-goers who tend to default to the same equipment or routine every visit, when they consider stepping outside of their comfort zone.
