Gulshan Devaiah is awaiting the release of his upcoming film titled Ulajh. The spy thriller, which also stars Janhvi Kapoor Roshan Mathew, Rajesh Tailang, and Adil Hussain, is set to release in theatres on August 2. In one of the promotional interviews for the film, Gulshan also shared his views on the entourage cost debate in Bollywood.

While Anurag Kashyap has slammed the actors for making unlimited demands on the film sets leading to rising entourage costs, Rohit Shetty has defended actors saying that the entire cost of filmmaking has gone up. Gulshan has directed the blame towards both the actors and producers for the same. Talking to News 18, he said, "One has to understand why such a thing is prevalent.

It’s like asking, why is a government official taking bribes? That’s because someone is also willing to give it. There are producers who were willing to pay that money. Suddenly, why are they complaining? Now that they don’t want to shell that much amount, they’re complaining.

Yes, it’s true that not all actors quote a high price. There are only a select few. But they should also become a bit reasonable.

Sometimes it’s a trickle-down thing. They see other actors walking with five bodyguards and then they want six for themselves." "A few years back, producers must have thought that paying that money will be worth it.

Maybe it’s not worth it anymore. Maybe they don’t have that spare Rs 2 lakh to splurge on a chef. Things are changing.

So, it’s everybody.
