Vadodara: City-based GSFC University has signed a memorandum of understanding ( MoU ) with the University of Sannio , based in Benevento, Italy. The MoU aims to promote scientific research and academic collaboration . The MoU was signed recently by Professor G R Sinha, provost of GSFC University and Professor Gerardo Canfora, rector of the University of Sannio.

“This partnership is poised to enrich the academic landscapes of both universities, focusing on a wide range of disciplines including science, engineering, humanities and social sciences,” a release from GSFC University said. “Key areas of collaboration are faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects and the sharing of academic resources, fostering mutual growth and innovation,” the release further said. During his recent visit to the University of Sannio as visiting professor, Sinha was invited to deliver a short-term course on cognitive science and brain-computer interface (BCI) to doctoral students.



It was during this visit that the MoU was signed. Sinha and Professor Silvia L Ullo from University of Sannio will coordinate the implementation of the MoU, ensuring that the collaboration benefits students and faculty at both universities. “Since our inception in 2015 with just two programmes and 141 students, we have grown exponentially.

We now educate over 2,800 students across 27 diverse programmes,” said GSFC University president P K Taneja, a retired IAS officer. He added that the MoU is a notable milestone for students and faculty of both universities. The agreement, signed at Medical College Hospital Kolkata, allows paediatricians to undergo three years of specialised training in NHS hospitals affiliated with Oxford University. The initiative was announced during ASTHMACON 2024. RBU signs MoU with HCL Technologies Rayat Bahra University signed an MoU with HCL Technologies to enhance academic excellence and industry exposure for students.

HCL will offer certification programs, internships, and guest lectures, providing hands-on experience. The collaboration aims to better equip students for careers in technology. Key officials from both institutions attended the MoU signing ceremony.

BIT signs MoU with Belagavi Startup Association Bharatesh Institute of Technology (BIT) partnered with Belagavi Startup Association to support innovation and industry exposure for students. The collaboration includes providing workspace and facilities for startups. Additionally, workshops on job opportunities in the cooperative sector, organ donation awareness programs, and various student achievements were highlighted in Belagavi.
