Eshaan Akbar serves pink chicken to Gregg Wallace Gregg Wallace was left disappointed after he was served undercooked chicken twice during an episode of Celebrity MasterChef . The hit BBC cooking show returned on Tuesday with a new line-up of famous faces. One celebrity who showed off his culinary skills was 40 year old comedian Eshaan Akbar.
In a bid to impress the judges, he served up butter chicken curry and chicken liver in two cooking tasks. However, both dishes were undercooked and Gregg Wallace admitted that the curry would have been a "knock-out dish" had the chicken been cooked properly. Eshaan Akbar was left mortified when Gregg cut into the chicken, revealing it to be pink in the middle.
Gregg then commented: "We're a little bit pink here...
it's such a shame because your flavours are magnificent." The judge continued: " There is a creamy, buttery sauce that's got layers of spicing - some warm, some bitter. The onions have a sweetness and the ones that are deliberately caught have a bitterness.

I can eat mine and Gregg can't." Reflecting on the challenge, Akbar said: "I'm feeling alright, trying to focus on the positives, which was that they loved the flavours.
