Flight Operations Show Growth Alongside the increase in passengers, flight operations in Greece also rose by 7.6%. This growth was seen across the country’s 39 airline-controlled airports, which together handled more flights in 2024 than in the previous year.

Specifically, the 24 airports managed by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) recorded a total of 603,931 flights in 2024, compared to 561,366 in 2023. This increase highlights Greece’s expanding role in global air travel networks and its ability to accommodate higher volumes of traffic.
