The Great British Bake Off is casting for series 16 and is on the lookout for its next batch of bakers to head into the famous white tent for 2025. Applications are open to everyone aged 16 or over, and you must be a UK resident (including Isle of Man and Channel Islands). In order to be successful, the show says a love and passion for baking is "a must", and that it is good if you have a broader baking repertoire "than just baking cakes", as on the series there is a bread, biscuit and pastry week among others.
Producers say there is always time to practice throughout the process, however, and that lots of bakers who have appeared in the tent will learn throughout the process in a supportive environment. For the application process, you are encouraged to include as much information about yourself and your baking as possible, with producers looking to get a sense of who you are, what type of baker you are and what bakes you have created previously, to learn what makes you stand out from the crowd. You are encouraged to include as many photos and videos as you can to show off your creations. If an applicant is successful in moving on to the next stage, they will be contacted by a member of the casting team. If an applicant has not heard from the show by Friday, February 14, 2025, then they have not been successful.
A statement from the show read: "We’re looking for the next batch of talented ho.
