Daniel Platzman revealed he had left the band after 13 years in an Instagram post.

Sharing a photo of the foursome on-stage, Daniel, 37, announced his departure and told fans what to expect from him next. He wrote: 'After an incredible journey of over a decade, I will be departing the amazing band that is Imagine Dragons. 'I wanted to share my deepest gratitude to you, the fans, for your unwavering support and sharing in the joy of music with me.

❤️❤️❤️.' Imagine Dragons formed in 2008 with four members: Dan, Andrew Beck, Dave Lemke, Andrew Tolman, and actress Aurora Florence. Wayne joined shortly afterwards with Ben, and Daniel joined 2011.

Andrew Beck, Dave, and Aurora all left Imagine Dragons in 2009. Andrew left in 2011, at the same time as his wife, Brittany Tolman, who had joined in 2009. Theresa Flaminio was also briefly in the band in 2011.
